As mentioned on Discord, some users would prefer if the Portrait remembered their choice of (turning off) the edge lighting.

Oh my, yes. I was/am already contemplating popping my unit open to plop out the connector for the LED - or if I have to, I'll desolder it outright - so a persistence via software would indeed be much preferred!

Request: It would be useful if we could set the initial state of the light up border on the LG hardware in the app, users could then enable it if needed. I would like to start it dark if possible.

This has to be set everytime the Looking Glass is rebooted. It would be great if this is saved to a user preference file and resumes to the same level
