Add option to automatically start into Standalone mode once plugged in

I would like to connect my Looking Glass to a smart socket which I can integrate into my smart home so that I can turn it on and off when someone enters/leaves the room. At the moment manual user intervention is required to press the button

I would like this as well. I use smart plug that is connected to the Athom Homey. When i leave it switch it off. But when entering home it stays off. Also i want to let the Edge LED to stay off.

Maybe both edge lighting and mode should just be preserved from last session? That would be intuitive and would not require more settings etc.

Edit: Sorry I misunderstood, my suggestion would not help your use case.
